Christmas Vacation
It has been a couple weeks since we got home from our visit home and we are finally getting settled back into a routine. It was so much fun going home and hanging out with friends and family it took a little getting used to being by ourselves again. Phil just finished all of his finals and he got A's on all of them! All his hard work is really paying off!
When we got home to Seattle we were welcomed by way too much snow. We were hoping we would get to take a little vacation from the snow. Erin picked us up from the airport on Friday night, which was luckily not delayed and took us to Vanessa's Christmas party. That turned out to be quite the late night. It is great to gain a couple of hours, but it is hard when you have been up two extra hours than everyone else has. It was fun to see everyone as soon as we got off the plane!
The next few days were pretty quiet. Our extra car was trapped at the bottom of the hill, so we ended up sharing my dad's truck with him. Being stuck at home put a damper on any Christmas shopping that we were going to do, but everything turned out fine. One night, my dad gave me a ride over to Larisa's and we went sledding. I felt like I was in junior high again! It was so much fun!
Phil spent alot of the trip studying but he did get to do a few things. We got a chance to go downtown one day to check out Pike Place and do some shopping. While Phil was studying I got to spend some time with friends and family. It was so fun to see everyone! Phil and I contemplated not going back!
It was a good Christmas, very relaxing. We spent Christmas Eve at mom's and Christmas morning at my grandma's. We spent the rest of the day watching movies on the couch. Phil couldn't remember the last time he spent so much time relaxing. It was really good for him to be a regular person for a couple weeks. The New Year was rung in with friends at Jessica and Sweeney's house. Then the next day we made our annual trip over to the Dewitts for some football. Phil spent the day at his friend Josh's.
Life is back to normal now. Phil spends his days studying and I am back working with Shauntel and at the Cellar Gate. Below are some pictures of the wine shop and friends that I work with.
Here are some pictures of our apartment. It was a long road but it is finall livable!!
